Creative venue space
Interlude is a creative space in Hackney for photographers, artists, and production companies, offering a neutral setting for shoots, exhibitions, talks, and workshops.
Interlude needed a brand and website that would vividly reflect its role as a flexible and inviting space for creatives. With the opening of the space approaching, the challenge was to achieve this within a tight deadline, ensuring the brand conveyed the welcoming environment and seamless experience for photographers, artists, and production companies.
Once we got the sense of the atmosphere Interlude wanted to show, we set out to design a clean, minimal website that’s easy to navigate. We paired sharp, elegant typography with softer tones that reflect the studio’s interior, capturing its calm, easy-going, yet professional character. We incorporated professional photography of the space and its equipment to give clients a clear view of what the studio offers. To add more personality to the clean design, we included some textured elements. This adds visual interest and reflects the energetic and timeless spirit that drives creativity. The result is a digital space as flexible and inspiring as the physical studio.
My primary responsibility was designing the website, but I was involved in all design decisions from the start. I worked closely with the art director and brand designer to ensure the visual identity was effectively and consistently translated onto the website.
I also contributed to designing various collateral materials, maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.
After the design phase, I collaborated with the developer to ensure everything was implemented correctly.
